Mrs. Harkins wins grants!

The Community Foundation of West Texas stopped by Levelland ISD yesterday with some very special surprises, awarding five grants across our district! These grants are incredibly valuable because they give our educators the opportunity to turn creative ideas and classroom dreams into real experiences for students. When school budgets can't always stretch to cover those "wish list" items, grants like these provide the tools, technology, books & resources that can transform learning. They truly help make wishes come true!
South | Tiffany Harkins — Marty the Robot
Mrs. Harkins' grant will bring Marty the Robot to South, giving students an exciting, hands-on way to explore coding, robotics, problem-solving & STEM concepts.
LISD Library Coordinator Cristal Isaacks — Battle of the Books
This grant will help the Capitol (Mrs. Alexander) & South (Mrs. Harkins) Libraries bring back Battle of the Books, encouraging students to read, collaborate & put their book knowledge to the test in a fun academic competition that celebrates a love of reading.
We are so thankful to the Community Foundation of West Texas for investing in our teachers, our ideas & most importantly, our students. These five grants will reach students across Levelland ISD and create learning experiences that might not have been possible otherwise.
Our LISD educators are incredibly grateful for these opportunities and can't wait to put these grants to work helping every Lobo Find Their Place!
