American Revolution Study

Mrs. Baern’s 4th-grade students at South Elementary have been hard at work in reading class, creating a “live timeline” while reading, studying and writing about the American Revolution. This was a time when the thirteen colonies fought for independence from Great Britain to form the United States. Throughout the project, students read informational texts, used direct quotes, and cited text evidence to explain why each significant event of the Revolution is important to American history. This timeline was truly a labor of love, developed over the past two weeks, and has proudly been nicknamed the “Sticky Note Timeline” by the students. We saw fantastic effort and teamwork in the learning process. Great job, everyone!
