South Elementary

In celebration of Veterans Day, South Elementary students enjoyed a combined history and art lesson honoring our Veterans and the military. Art teacher Mrs. Mary Bara shared the inspiring story of the poppies that grew back after World War I, symbolizing hope and renewal after the devastation of war. Students also wrote heartfelt letters of appreciation to Veterans and created whimsical art pieces representing our military. We thank Mrs. Bara for instilling in our students the significance of this ever-important holiday and for helping them honor those who have served our country with courage and pride!
