CTE Month: Keyboarding

As we continue to focus on CTE month, we found third-grade students in Miss Amanda Underwood's computer classes at South Elementary learning to keyboard.  Remember typing jjffkkddllss;;aa?  Well, as with everything in education, learning keyboarding skills has improved too! South students use an LISD keyboarding app to learn to use the right keys with the correct fingers, seeing exactly what their brains should be telling their fingers to do.  Keyboarding skills improves accuracy when typing and helps with decoding and sight-reading skills as well.  We are so lucky to have Miss Underwood, for engaging students in a Technical education skill that benefits all 21-Century learners early in life.
