The LIFE Foundation hosted another LIFE Grant Event today. In addition to the eleven grants totaling $5,662 earlier this year, LIFE awarded five more LISD teachers with grants totaling $2340. At South, Robotics Teacher Clara Sanders received money to help build the robotics program through the years. We thank LIFE for helping to fill our classrooms with STEAM activities and helping our students have 21st-Century innovative minds. LIFE operates solely on donations and fundraisers. If you would like to help out students and teachers, you can make a LIFE donation at City Bank or Hockley County School Employees Credit Union. Thank you to Lillian Northcutt for bringing the cheerleaders, Evan Seidel for bringing the drumline, to Superintendent McCutchen, and to the LIFE Board for helping to make these grants a "big deal."
