It's Earth Day and South first-graders in Miss Krista Snodgrass' class enjoyed a guest reader from The Chamber's Keep Levelland Beautiful. Students experienced the book Honeybee: The Busy Life of Apis Mellifera by Candace Fleming which taught the lifecycle of a honeybee and how important they are to the Earth. Students also learned that bees rely on flowers all over the Earth. Then they enjoyed a science lab on planting their very own garden that will grow at home when planted and watered. Thank you to Miss Snodgrass for letting KLB teach your students on Earth Day!
