Jobs People Have!

South Elementary first-graders recently studied a Career Unit called "Jobs People Have" and had several community connections to teach them about what it takes to have that job! Officer Simcik, Officer Mora and Sergeant Jordan from the Lubbock Police K-9 Department came to show South kids what they do with their awesome dog Yako, and what you have to do to become a policeman! Levelland Fireman Jake Madewell also visited to teach everyone about what firefighters do and what safety precautions they take during a fire! Thank you, Mrs. Gomez and first-grade teachers for giving this hands-on experience that will not be forgotten!
